Aleks Math is perfect for documenting where he is and progress made. It breaks down progress with a pie chart to show which areas are mastered, where he needs practice, etc. Also, if the student gets something wrong they had previously done right, it marks that as unfinished and you have to go back and master it again. Makes sure the kid really knows it, as opposed to mastery by lucky guesses. It does some teaching, but the teaching part isn’t enough for us, but I love the Documenting and assessment. Very straightforward and not at all babyish.

Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan, with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are available for free to users of the website and app.
